Coffee n Cream
This is a throw I have done for myself, for my lounge. I got the pattern from the Internet but tweaked it a little. It's the first time I have crocheted the squares together and I am very pleased with it. It was easier than i thought it would be, just shows not to be afraid to try new things. It is mostly worked with chunky wool. Just the border and the joining was done in double knit. Each square is 8 inches x 8 inches, the biggest square I have ever done. Because of the wool I used it crocheted up very quickly. On to my next project, what will it be.

Purple Passion
Recently we moved house not by choice but it s to a smaller place. So not much room for my craft room! So it got me thinking of something I could do that doesn't take up much space. Crochet was the answer, well it was until I got hooked on yarn! We're am I going to store my yarn. Well if I use it there won't be much stash, that's what I keep telling myself anyway.
This is my first piece that I made for my niece. I made it for her bedroom. I used a variegated yarn, which I think worked well for the blanket.
It is a simple pattern and was easy to put together.
My next challenge it a blanket which I crochet each block together. A blanket for my lounge. So watch this space.
